Being trained in the safe use and inspection of ladders is a legal requirement for working at height.
Our Ladder and Steps training course focuses on the health and safety precautions that should be taken when working at height. It deals with good working practices, including examples of what not to do in a work environment and how not to use a ladder, as well as the correct PPE requirements for the task.
The course follows HSE guidance in teaching when a ladder is being used for the right sort of task, how to properly inspect it and how long is safe to spend working at height.
This is an in-house Hireman course, which means it takes just half a day to train you compared to a full day courses supplied elsewhere.
Successful delegates will receive a Hireman accredited certificate, valid for five years.
